Big Bob Bittle has proven himself competing in power lifting recently winning 1st place overall in Arkansas. Here are Bob’s comments below:
First -What is bodybuilding? Who defines it meaning? If you surveyed many random people what would they say? One answer might be: "it's a bunch of meat heads with low self-esteem and no life" or I would say is a quality of life, forget "Obama Care" its optimal health care, it's the cheapest form of self-medication you can get. OR From Wikipedia "Bodybuilding is a form of body modification involving intensive muscle hypertrophy; an individual who engages in this activity is referred to as a bodybuilder. In competitive bodybuilding, bodybuilders display their physiques to a panel of judges, who assign points based on their appearance. The muscles are revealed through a process known as the "cutting phase" - a combination of fat loss, oils, and tanning (or tanning lotions) which combined with lighting make the definition of the muscle group more distinct." Regardless of what someone else says it really only matters what you think and what you feel. Whether it's, bodybuilding, marathon training, triathlons, or whatsoever your sport of choice is; its starts with you!
Second-THE TEAM, No one can adapt to a hit and miss policy if you are going to be your best. To be your best I suggest to train with the best. Not everyone can train with Dorian Yates or Jay Cutler and another other nationally recognized athlete, but there are some people within a hands reach that can help you become "all you can be". For example; there are 4 of us that train regularly together. Why 4? Well, each one offers a different compliment to the "TEAM" the team is motivation, the team is consistent, the team is accountability, and the team is supportive. Being there and helping each push the envelope of peak personal performance is the key to success. With the team approach you are more likely to try that last set, or run that last mile, or skip out on that pizza. It's all relative to your sport.
Third-THE INFLUENCE, the power of influence creates intensity. A person finds strength they never knew they had. They find courage to push the body far beyond absolute fatigue. Going all out every time doesn't happen alone, it comes with THE INFLUENCE of the point 2, THE TEAM! Look at it from this perspective, it's a friendly competition gradually shaving away inefficiencies and amplifying intensity. Quality influences and being consistent with your diet and training programs will help keep your focused on your goals and objectives.
“If you want to want to be a pro bodybuilder, you need a team, a support system that provides encouragement, accountability, motivation, information, safety, and perspiration. You want people who will make you work and will be honest with you even if it hurts. ”
